Cedar Fence Specification

Each Superior Fence & Rail cedar fence is built to exceed the Miami-Dade wind code specification. Your heavy-duty cedar fence will be constructed to endure harsh winds and weather with 1×6 pickets, 2×4 lateral rails, 4×4 fence posts, and 4×6 gate hinge posts. Unless otherwise specified to be placed every four feet, your cedar fence will be built with posts every eight feet.

Cedar Fence Construction

Your Superior Fence & Rail cedar fence installers will build your new fence from scratch on-site. Building each new fence one component at a time ensures that the fence is stronger than pre-constructed cedar panels. You will be able to see your fence go up, piece by piece. All our posts are anchored in concrete for an ultimately strong cedar fence construction. In addition, we use hot-dipped galvanized ring shank nails, which will not warp or split the cedar.

At Superior Fence & Rail, we offer a number of cedar fence construction options, including stockade, board on board, shadowbox, and open picket styles. Stockade cedar fence construction has each vertical picket tightly installed, side-by-side. Board on board cedar fences have vertical pickets that overlap for a total privacy fence line. Shadowbox cedar fence construction is similar to board-on-board, with alternating and overlapping pickets, except that this fence leaves air gaps between pickets for less wind resistance. We also offer beautiful cap and trim options for your cedar fence. Superior Fence & Rail is happy to work with clients to construct a completely custom cedar fence design, as well.
